Hallmark – “It would be best to turn around now.”
Pros
Little to none.
It could be the feeling of helping out a customer to your best ability or it could just be the other employees who are unfortunately in the same boat as you. Small things.
Cons
District manager a pain to all, comes down on the manager. In turn the manager comes down on the associates and drama ensues. Tragic communication issues. No respect on any level. Your work will be redone the next day, so it really just amounts to "busy work".
Advice to Senior Management
#1: There must be respect given to all employees - manager, supervisors, and associates. Morale in my particular shop was extremely low and no one wanted to be at work. Calling out was a major problem. Busy work can only last for so long, I would assume most people would want to feel as if they are a valued and respected worker than just a pair of hands.
