    I worked at Halloween City

    Pros

    Great Atmosphere
A lot of ownership inside the store
Ability to hire your own staff
    Great work experience

    Cons

    Pay
    Hours (it is retail)
    employee motivation
    bonus scale is pretty crappy

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure to have quality DM's in place for store managers it makes all the difference. Bonuses could be better for motivation since GM's have to work 55 hours a week towards the end of the season.

I have been working at Halloween City

    Pros

Setup in August and tear down in November are 40 hour weeks. Then the first month is pretty easy/slow, 50% of the business happens in the final 2 weeks. Hours are pretty retail, except Halloween week.

    Cons

The DM and your manager are the key to happiness and success. The longest you can work is 13 weeks. (So they needn't pay unemployment.) Customers get pretty rude the closer to the holiday
