Pros

Flexible hours, great opportunity to gain some experience in hospitality, great training. I've yet to work for a company that is as focused on building brand loyalty into its own employees as Hampton brands. Hampton is a great place to start in hospitality because they're not normally full service hotels so you really just learn the basics and move up from there. Great company culture, I highly enjoyed getting to meet fellow Hampton employees.

Cons

Advancement is limited within hotels since they are franchised. The hospitality industry in general is very under paid.

    Pros

the chance to make guests vacation experience what they hoped for

    Cons

The pay and compensation is not too good

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

good help is hard to find, can't find it with an $8.00 hr pay. However if you have good help, find ways to give incentives and bonus's to keep them there.

    Pros

Felt empowered to take care of customers and felt like management cared a great deal about customer experience. Was rarely second-guessed for doing something. Really enjoyed my coworkers. Worked for a franchise that I felt did a very good job of recognizing employees.

    Cons

Did not see any room for advancement. Atmosphere sometimes felt almost cloyingly positive. At this particular franchise, compensation was about average.
