I have been working at Hanger full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Job security, great hours, higher pay when compared to similar jobs, and standard employee benefits.

Cons

The management team is very unorganized. To their credit, they aren't given the necessary resources to succeed. Many employees are unprofessional, and show their emotions daily. As the result of state health plan cuts, business is not what it once was. As a result, the clinic is always understaffed, patients suffer greatly, and the environment is usually stressful.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Focus more on patient care and less on meeting numbers. Eventually Medicaid will come back around. Provide employees with annual reviews and praise when they do a good job.

I have been working at Hanger full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The company really cares about their customers. The CEO is forward looking and looking to grow the company in the right direction.

    Cons

CIO is trying to accomplish way to much at once. He has one year plan not a 3 to 5 year plan. Way to much politics in IT. They also don’t care about their employees or trust them for their ability. Stay away from IT until management changes.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make high level managemnt changes in IT

I have been working at Hanger full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Team, co-workers, and free coffee (but you pay back in the excessive hours that are forced on you)

    Cons

Certain management are not competent with loud talk and no actions. They are running this company to the ground. They expect you to work constantly and their vision is work first, and everything else second...even family.

A few directors need to be evaluated and replaced so the company will head in the right direction. They are wasting company's and investors money because of poor planning and decisions. If they don't know something, they pretend to know it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some needs to resign or fired so employees' moral will increase and correct decisions can be made to better the company.

The employees don't need their hand to be held and led in the wrong direction because egos are high. Listen to your employees and understand how things should be done rather than "try" to use large vocabulary and don't even know what the words mean.

The CEO is great but he needs to regulate and clean house.
