    Doesn't Recommend

    Pros

Very entreprenurial type mindset - pushes employees to take initiative and implement changes

    Cons

No structure (management structure), non-exisitent training program, salary pay is inversely related to amount of hours worked (pay too little, work too long)

    Advice to Management

place some structure within the firm (i.e. training programs), management should take initiative to treat all employee's fairly and respectably

I worked at Harding Loevner (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The culture is very laid back. There's a collegial tone around the office, and a good work-life-balance (when compared to similar positions on wall street). The people are very nice, however, you are still expected to work very hard. Very good long term compensation, (if you end up staying to reap the benefits of them). Upper management is very approachable, and you'll often find yourself working with some high up execs. The firm is growing very fast.

    Cons

The location is not great, and short term compensation could be a little better.

    Advice to Management

Focus on retaining young employees more. It's easier to maintain solid well performing employees than hire new ones.
