HarperCollins – “Get in; get out.”
Pros
Good tools, generally competent & knowledgeable colleagues, competitive pay, decent benefits, well-organized and flexible systems.
Cons
Poor management and leadership, internal power dynamics in mgmt unhealthy and unchecked, blame culture, fearful of innovation and unable to evaluate and tap talents from bottom up, no work-life balance, managers managed very poorly. Inability to hear what they don't want to hear hinders real problem-solving and creates inefficiencies.
Advice to Senior Management
Spend more time properly respecting and utilizing and rewarding talents of employees . . . They're a neglected resource. Management isn't the only tier with talent or perspective on the industry. Set up real leadership training and set more goals for yourselves in this area.
