I have been working at Harris full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

Good place for international students. Offers a good internship program and H1B-Visa sponsorship.

    Flexible hours.
    Excellent work-life balance.
    A lot of vacation time.
    Excellent Co-Workers and friendly managers.
    Ability to work remotely.
     Good retirement plan and match.

    Cons

    pay is average.

health care plan is good but costly.

A few exciting development projects when first joining but then work becomes mostly maintenance and bug fixing.

Moving up the ladder is slow, but possible.

Be prepared to train your replacement for several months. Upper Management likes to out source your job once they see that your work is complete.
You can avoid this by becoming a crucial client-facing customer technical contact.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Consider the creative ideas of Engineers working in the field that can lead to new revenue growing prospects.

Keep quality people, and don't feel the need to always cut cost.
