I worked at Harrison & Shriftman

Pros

Hardworking employees
Good start in the business
Networking possibilities great

Cons

Need better clients
Sometimes feels like the company tries to spread itself too thin--nothing is done REALLY WELL
Opportunities for growth slow--many work as receptionist, then Principal's assistant for at least a year

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try something a bit fresher--new clients to add new light to the agency

    Pros

-Dealing with solid clients & entertainment industry contacts
-Smaller company; enables employees a more hands-on approach in all areas of the company so you learn a lot (great place to intern)
-Fun day-to-day; it's your job to keep up with celebrity gossip and trends etc
-Attend/ work at successful, high profile events, meet industry elite

    Cons

-Unorganized, no structure, power struggles everywhere you turn
    -LOW salary
    -False promises on growth opportunities
-Intense, drama-filled atmosphere at all times, relationships in office are extremely stressful and "clique" like, very judgmental
    -Unpaid overtime is expected

    Doesn't Recommend

    I worked at Harrison & Shriftman full-time

    Pros

Staff works very hard and works as a team, great opportunity to start your career with good clients at a well known agency.

    Cons

As an employee you are overworked and underpaid. The agency is typically understaffed and you will be handed work whether or not you have time to handle it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take the time to hire qualified individuals over those who look the part.
