Great people, great opportunities. Liked it better when it was a smaller agency.

Pros

Great talent, great personalities. People are not cookie cutter - HandS appreciates different strengths of individuals. Used to be a huge focus on mentoring and training employees. Work-life balance used to be a focus with senior management as well.

Cons

Lot of turnover lately. Not sure HandS is hiring the best candidates. Feel like work is shifting work-life balance. Not feeling the mentoring and training like I used to.

Advice to Management

Listen to your people. Hear what's wrong and do something about it.

    Pros

    Lot's of employee education opportunities.
Seems like management really cares about the employees.
Lots of good people to work with.

    Cons

Lately it seems like Omnicom (the parent company) is imposing a lot of restrictions which are starting to affect employee benefits like time off, 401K contribution, and salary increases.

    Advice to Management

Keep communicating with employees and maintaining the personal relationships and transparency that makes employees trust you.

    Pros

The agency has a great vibe and culture, people like working here. Every agency has its share of difficult clients and people, at HS it is tempered by a great culture and employee programs. Most of the clients work in partnership with the teams, making it an amazing learning environment.Information is shared on a timely basis and employees are generally happy.

    Cons

Its a great place to work. The usual cons of agency life, some clients can be difficult but more there are great ones as well.

    Advice to Management

Keep listening to your employees, and giving them the tools they need to succeed, and they will stay happy and motivated.
