I have been working at Harrods full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Great personal development with fantastic training from in house teams and external companies. Amazing staff discount... great salary, holidays and flexible working if your lucky!

Cons

Politics... every company has them and Harrods is no different. Sometimes you just have to go with the decision made from above even if you know it doesn't make sense. Usually your whole team know it.

I worked at Harrods full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Good commission and a decent staff discount rate, with opportunities to progress within the company on various levels

    Cons

Sometimes lengthy and tiring, promotions and progress are possible however connections account for more than degree and qualification

    Advice to Management

Maintain contact with your staff, ask around and evaluate opinions and offer talented members of staff initiatives before it is too late and they have left.

I worked at Harrods full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

In Harrods you are always pushed to do your best and give the most amazing customer service you can and this puts always yourself on a test in a positive way. The company always rewards your efforts. Nice environment, with collegues and customers from all over the world so that you can always learn something new. Good wage.

    Cons

Being such a massive company means that you are considered most of the time just like a number, except from the few people you work really close with.

    Advice to Management

I had a really nice manager, helpful, kind but some managers are not able to do their jobs and are not helpful at all for the team.
