    Pros

My co-workers were the best and I made good friends and valuable networking connections among them.

    Cons

There needs to be consistency in management training.

    Advice to Management

The executive management would improve the company vastly by implementing the principles in the book, The Happiness Advantage by Shawn Achor. Employees are people, not numbers and happy employees are productive & successful members of any organization.

    Pros

The board of directors has ensured that the company's balance sheet remains healthy - and delivers to the shareholders. Their debt is low. Their cash and assets has historically been managed well. They have attracted solid (if affirmation-inclined) management.

    Cons

Trying desperately to squeeze every last dollar out of their Shopper division as it circles the print-media drain. A series of layoffs have taken the organization beyond sustainable levels. Current management is operating out of rear of retribution if they do not toe the line clearly set before them by upper management and the board.

    Advice to Management

Try to manage the business with a global perspective - keeping in mind that your people are a great asset. Also, figure out a way to exit, or transition the Shopper market. Otherwise, this historically-profitable segment of the business will erode to the point that it drags down the entire organization.
