I worked at Harvard University full-time for more than 3 years

Pros

Harvard is one of the few employers I have experienced that really cares about employees. Benefits are great, pay is always being analyzed, and it is truly mission-based. If I hadn't moved away I would probably have spent my whole career there.

Cons

Different schools don't always communicate well.
Pay is lower than private sector.
Some issues with faculty and student egos.

I have been working at Harvard University full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Harvard offers tremendous benefits, from vacation time, medical benefits and financial investments. They offer various job opportunities and often promote from within the university. They believe in a family and work life balance. I feel fortunate to work at this university.

    Cons

I can't think of any cons.
