I worked at Harvard University as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

Smart people who are good at what they do. I worked as a temp for about 4 months and felt welcomed and valued. I was actually offered a full time position there but turned it down for a position at another University and regret it every day!

    Cons

You definitely have to start at the bottom and work your way up. Very difficult to get in unless you know someone.
