Pros

As someone mentioned earlier, the benefits are awesome. You can take classes for almost nothing at some schools, and even get a degree through the Extension School or Ed School. I liked the 401k and health plan, too, although they've whittled that down in recent years.

Cons

The people are mostly very good, but in a few tubs, there are some difficult characters.

Advice to Management

Focus on fairness.

    Pros

Smart people who are good at what they do. I worked as a temp for about 4 months and felt welcomed and valued. I was actually offered a full time position there but turned it down for a position at another University and regret it every day!

    Cons

You definitely have to start at the bottom and work your way up. Very difficult to get in unless you know someone.

    Advice to Management

    Keep doing what you're doing!
