I worked at Harvard University full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

I worked with extraordinarily bright people and learned a great deal from my time at Harvard. HBS provided exceptional access to industry leaders, on the job training, and access to classes across the university. The university provides exceptional access to other opportunities once your time at Harvard has come to a close.

    Cons

While my role provided terrific work-life balance, my work as a researcher did not pay as well as industry jobs. I left to find opportunities that had significantly greater financial upside than my work at HBS provided.
