I have been working at Hasbro as an intern for more than a year

Pros

There is a lot to learn from interning here: corporate structure, corporate culture, and team-based projects. And also how some projects work and others that don't.

Cons

There is a lack of guidance in the internship program. You have a mandatory internship orientation and then go off to your new office. There's not set expectations or guidelines for the internship experience.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

There needs to be a structured internship program so that college students know what they are expected to do and the progress that they will make during their time here.

    I worked at Hasbro

    Pros

Hasbro valued it's employees and would hold a lot of support for brands or kickoff events upon new product launches. Most of the time all levels of employees were invited and for some, attendance was mandatory. It was a positive experience for me to learn how the corporate world went about the daily business.

    Cons

Working there I learned why Hasbro will only be the number 2 toy company and will never be the number 1 toy company. As you work with people repetitively you will tend to notice the ones that work and the ones that delegate so they don't have to. You also have to maintain a relationship with your supervisor in order for information to be passed on within departments. if you keep it to a strictly work relationship you will not last long.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not all of your employees are there for the good of the company. Most stay working there so they can make their jobs easier by passing their responsibilities on the their subordinates, even if they do not have the ability to accomplish these responsibilities.
