    Pros

If you are ambitious, know your digital stuff and want to drive your career forward, I can't think of much.

    Cons

There have recently been some long overdue changes to Havas' senior management team. Most of their managing partners are still part of the same dusty old clique though that’s led the agency since way too long. It feels suffocating to see them pat each other on the back, reminisce about stories from 10 or more (!) years ago and hold key positions across the business despite their apparent lack of vision and understanding of how current marketing works. At Havas, it's still ok to not have basic digital knowledge and to lack basic management skills, at least if you're part of the senior team. As long as you can manage to "talk the talk" with clients and then push your employees to cover up your shortfalls, regardless of how many there are, you're set for the Havas kind of "success". The result of the helpless, complacent senior management team is a genuine lack of inspiration, combined with lack of career perspectives for most in the agency who are beyond a certain junior level. Not to speak of the frustration of having to work for people who don't really know what to do as marketing has changed so dramatically over the last few years. Even after a year with the company, I still don't have clear objectives, not to speak of a career plan. My senior manager is aware but simply ignores this - and, to make it all worse, this person gets away with it. A colleague who left the agency in the summer of 2014 hadn't had a review in well over a year. Nobody seemed to even notice. Good people should stay away from this company.
