Hcsc – “HCSC is a tremendous place to work”

I believe HCSC provides something for everyone. There is very challenging work for those that want it, but there is also the ability to sit back and just collect a paycheck. HCSC also provides for great Work/Life Balance, and really respects the challenges that come with raising a family.
There Diversity program is also one of the Best amongst all Corporations.
Technically, although historically behind the curve, they are beginning to move towards the front, and if you are looking to advance a company forward, technically, then HCSC is the place that you want to be right now!!
On top of that the Chicago Headquarters at 300 E. Randolph is one of these best locations in the City. Across the street from Grant and Millennium Parks, down the street from the Lake front and close to multiple walking and jogging trails.
Cons
The Politics are the number 1 thing that needs to go away.
This company grew up very quickly and those that have been around awhile have gained the highest positions in the organization, but they continue to think it is a small organization and want to keep it that way.
Unfortunately, these Silos are what keep HCSC from moving forward as the various departments don't work together as much as they should and hence the quality of our products are not always what they should be.
Much work has happen to break down these Walls, but there is still work to be done.
Advice to Senior Management
You need to continue to push more decisions down and let those that you put into leadership positions below you to do their jobs.

They use MS Excel as SVC for their PeopleSoft apps. The senior execs in IT don't even use the intranet here.
