Pros

As a major health plan provider, HCSC has a great responsibility to provide the highest quality products and service. It's employees are valued and the benefits offered are very good. The additional benefits, not always listed are also very good.

Cons

The silo-ed management foundation has yet to be restructured and that can be challenging to the rank and file. Demands of some positions can be much greater than the 40 hour work week. Sometimes you will be give considerations, but too often you have to ask.
For all of their efforts to provide a work environment that is compliant with the standards set; they do fall short and sometimes if you speak up, you will be reprimanded.

Advice to Senior Management

Break the silos. Listen to the workers more. Talk the talk and walk the walk concerning compliance and never underestimate the advantages you will get if you take a bold management approach to change what you know needs to be changes. Your staff will appreicate and respect you much more.
