Current Employee – been working at Health Market Science

Pros – Good home/ work life balance. Above industry average pay. Technologically speaking, there are some very good and interesting projects to work on.

Cons – An extremely uncomfortable work atmosphere. It seems as if everyone here is working in fear. Very low employee morale. (The only people who tried to change this are now gone.) Constant re-orgs, constant priority changes, and constant method/work techniques changes make this a maddening, non-fulfilling career choice. There is absolutely no support of middle management, and I don’t think upper management really has a clue what is going on, they have a revolving door of talent and only the good people seem to leave. I’m not sure how HMS continues to survive, I won’t be surprised to show up one day and the doors will be chained because they went out of business. A very unimpressive, draining place to work.

Advice to Senior Management – Stop the constant change, stick with something for more than a month. Find out why these talented people are leaving in droves and try to keep them. Take a good look at your mid-level managers.
