I worked at HealthPort full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Good co-workers. Stable. Decent pay.

Cons

The company suffers from a lack of direction. Nearly all of your time is spent dealing with the latest emergency and not on working towards any long term goals.
Product knowledge is in very short supply and internal documentation is virtually non-existent.
Everything in development revolves around the "Process" to the point that nothing gets accomplished any longer. It takes a minimum of 6-8 weeks to accomplish tasks that used to be done in 2 days.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Just because they're your friend doesn't mean they're a good fit for the job.
Hold people accountable to deadlines and quality.

    I have been working at HealthPort full-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    There are no pros working for this company, other than a paycheck.

    Cons

    Worst company to work for. No support from sr management, poor wages. They require you to work overtime and weekends with no additional compensation. No regard for family time. A very Greedy organization.
    If I can save just one person from making a bad decision. Please do not work here. You will regret it I promise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Pay close attention to the Sr Operations Managers. Unethical, non caring, no support, no training provided, moody. This is why turnover is so high with this company.
