Healthcare Services – “Look for another place to work!”
Pros
The residents, the facility staff, and the employees I have. They are the only ones that make it tolerable to come to work
Cons
Upper management is definitely lacking in the communication department. And sure they "promote within" ,but that isn't always the best thing. The result is a bunch of buddies that strongarm their managers into bending the truth to appease the customer or cut corners so that they can make their bonuses or seem more cost effective. The communication with account managers is very poor, unless they need something or they want to belittle you.
Advice to Senior Management
Keep your Regional managers in check. Communicate with everyone, not just your inside group of upper management. Stop trying to be so cost effective, because the benefits, pay, and equipment are lacking for your "cost effectiveness". Respect your account managers because they are there with their employees in the trenches everyday. Stop having your DM's do the dirty work. They are underpaid and overworked and always made out to be the bad guy. Get with the times and actually use updated forms and provide account managers with phone numbers to contact HR. Support your lower management and employees instead of treating them like they owe you.
