I have been working at Healthline full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Health is a feel-good industry to be in. You feel like you are improving people's lives and learning interesting things. Healthline has some good products that help people gain knowledge about their health. There is a nice diversity of people at the company with a wide range of talents. The company has some valid IP that should lead to a liquidity event in the near future.

    Cons

Like most companies, there are improvements that could be made here, both in process and reporting structure. People in management positions who would be better suited in other roles and not managing people. But you tend to see that in any company, so I don't think HL is unique in that regard. The previous CEO was not the right fit culturally for the company, and I think his leaving has benefited the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really take a look at your managers from the bottom up. Interview their reports. Do they feel empowered? Does their manager make them feel an important part of the team? Are they able to plan their work efficiently?

Former Employee - Manager in San Francisco, CA

I worked at Healthline full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

There are no best reasons. If you like clicks, get a job here. If you like to work in San Francisco, get a job here. If you like close to public transportation, get a job here. If you like to eat really crappy food, get a job here.

    Cons

Unless you are planning to get a senior position here, no bonuses.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a company that will buy you out. Fire yourselves. Update your website. They fired the CEO and CotB West Shell. You should have fired Dean Stephens, the president, COO, and "self-proclaimed" CFO. Oh, and now interim-CEO. Seriously, Board, you fired the wrong guy.
