I have been working at Healthline full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Health is a feel-good industry to be in. You feel like you are improving people's lives and learning interesting things. Healthline has some good products that help people gain knowledge about their health. There is a nice diversity of people at the company with a wide range of talents. The company has some valid IP that should lead to a liquidity event in the near future.

    Cons

Like most companies, there are improvements that could be made here, both in process and reporting structure. People in management positions who would be better suited in other roles and not managing people. But you tend to see that in any company, so I don't think HL is unique in that regard. The previous CEO was not the right fit culturally for the company, and I think his leaving has benefited the company.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Really take a look at your managers from the bottom up. Interview their reports. Do they feel empowered? Does their manager make them feel an important part of the team? Are they able to plan their work efficiently?

    I worked at Healthline full-time

    Pros

It's a (mostly) easy ride and they allow dogs in the office.

    Cons

Often makes you wonder - is today the day the investors will finally pull the plug.
The good people work hard but lots of people just skate by and never are called to task.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    1. Fire yourselves. The entire executive team is an expensive waste of resources.
    2. Do sexual harassment training - rumors of inappropriateness have been flying for years and sooner or later a lawsuit will come.
