Pros

Lifetime residuals if you get vested

Cons

Sales personal are treated like a necessary evil. If a customer leaves within the first 12 months on credit card for any reason, you get nearly all your commission reversed. Same applies with payroll except it's closer to 14 months. Micro-management out the wazoo towards the end basically eliminated the only real benefit of working here which was that you can set your own schedule - was "mandated" to work on Saturdays if behind on 30% higher quota. Spent some time as a manager and got a first-hand glimpse of how little management there knows. I guess the worst is how proud management seem to be when the majority of sales people who work here are openly unhappy.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

None. They don't care about sales people - no matter how much they want to tell you they do.

Great company to learn the ins & outs of the business.

    Cons

Micromanagement, unethical practices by managers, they preach honesty & integrity but that is far from the truth

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get out in the field with your reps & get dirty with them, practice what you preach instead of barking orders behind a desk

    Pros

Good products and services at very competitive prices

    Cons

Management and micro management! When I was hired we had a stated quota. Two months later the quota was doubled. They appear to be trying the insurance game of hiring many, many people, tapping into their warm markets, eliminating the employee for lack of quota attainment, and the keeping residuals and accounts as house accounts. The week I parted company with heartland, 6 others were let go and 22 were hired in....

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Being voted one of the top co's to work for doesn't mean much if your turnover is ridiculous.
