I have been working at Heinz full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Good people, opportunity to impact within a lean organization, profitable, customer focused teams, good tools, work/life balance (in field)

Cons

too Short term & bottom line focused, not enough opportunities to engage and stretch top talent, uncertainty with buyout causing low morale, inadequate on boarding, cost out vs. innovation focused

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Move faster on growth and give us a reason to believe in Heinz beyond stock price, invest in your top talent

I have been working at Heinz full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

There are seriously not any pros right now at Heinz other than World HQs shutting down to save a lot of cash. Most of the people there are being given jobs at HNA. Clearly the brands are good but the complete turmoil is just too much right now.

    Cons

To begin with the culture is the worst in the industry. There is some hope the new leadership coming with the acquisition will make positive changes. The current leaders in both sales and marketing have just ruined all good things about this company. Specifically the sales leadership has made the culture in the Pittsburgh office nearly intolerable. Nearly all promotions are based on how popular you are with sales leaders. They don't care about your work or performance. They make snap judgments about employees and never let it go. If you make one mistake they bring it up for years and years and years. There is no recognizing good performance. Raises are terrible and bonuses have been bad. Many brands have been squeezed to death with no marketing support. Leadership has driven out a ton of great talent. As many others have said, diversity is not a priority at Heinz and is actually frowned upon. Stay away if you are smart.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hopefully the new ownership will rid the company of all former sales/marketing leaders and start fresh. The current is horrible
