    Pros

Friendly people to work with. Some management are great to work with. Company is trying to go in a great direction and get with the times.

    Cons

Not always structured the best. Work-life balance could use some attention. "Re-inventing the wheel" isn't necessary. Apathy is a big problem.

I have been working at Henkels & McCoy full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Heavy on overhead for project assistance, reasonable management buy-in on new ideas, there were a good amount of talented employees I was surrounded by, willing to train green employees and bring them up to speed, albeit sometimes through direct immersion in new jobs and tasks, while traveling and moving sucked, I had a lot of fun in many ways doing it and got to see some cool areas.

    Cons

Heavy on overhead, top heavy company, if you're not in the "in crowd" you're going to fight hard to advance at the same pace as those that are, be prepared to travel at a moments notice to follow the work, they're big on you putting in your time before given reasonable jobs unless they're in desperate need and you get thrown into a position that may be over your head, salaries were pretty low until people started leaving

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Follow through on your promises when hiring people or explain why things changed if you can't. When the rest of the company is supposed to be pinching pennies, don't go on needless trips and rack up big bills on expense accounts. You need to trim the fat on upper management to be able to win jobs it looks like. Support the up and coming APMs and field engineers when times get rough, they will be the future of your company...
