I have been working at Hertz full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    Managers get car benefits
    Decent entry level job
    Almost impossible to get fired
    Laid back, lots of freedom

    Cons

Nowhere to advance past branch manager
Goals are impossible to hit without being given the means to reach them
No one above area manager has any idea what the rest of us do
    Long hours
    Not enough pay
Constantly changing commission structure to ensure we don't get TOO much

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find out what we do. Stop making impossible goals, and then expecting us to meet them without giving us the means to do so. Stay consistant for more then two months

I have been working at Hertz full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    -It's a job
    -Great benefits
    -A lot of vacation time
    -Sick time
    -Friendly coworkers
    -Very easy job

    Cons

-No training in the beginning expected to learn as you go which is very difficult
-They can move your around whenever they please
    -Poor management
-Cleaning out rental cars in dress clothes
-Very long hours not much time for life, friends or family outside of work. You will be working Monday 7am to 6pm Wednesday to Friday 7:45 am to 6pm and Saturday 9am to 12pm this is a 40 plus hour work week which suck!
-Very little pay even even with bonuses don't expect to make more than $27000
-Their are no pay raise ever!
    - A person without a college degrees at a different company can make more money than a Hertz Manager :(

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I'm not going to give advice to management because I don't believe they'll take it. My advice is to the recent college grads who are thinking of taking a job with Hertz. If you do not have any better offers take the job with Hertz its not that bad but it not very good either. Continued your job hunt while working for Hertz "the best time to find a job is when you have a job". Good luck.
