I have been working at Hertz full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Very good job security, lot of people at my location have been here several years. The money is very good, good benefits.

Cons

Hertz is very short staffed. The hours are long, and the work is not easy. There needs to be more people hired.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Upper management needs to be in touch with the people on the front lines. Get to know some
of your front line workers. Learn what works in the real world, not just what is on paper.

    Pros

    Meet new people Car and gas

    Cons

    Work environment, unrealistic goals, hours required including conf calls hours before and after work. Several hour drives for meaningless meetings.
    staff doesn't perform and branch manager always takes the heat. No individual punishment for lower level. Area managers do no work what so ever just spread sheets that already get conposed by the branch managers. Area managers are the laziest people in the companu they have everyone do their work for them. General managers and branch managers are the hardest working.

    Pros

    Great people to work with. Benefits are great. Plenty of locations if looking for a transfer.

    Cons

    They like to toy with people's lives when it comes to money. Commission structure is absolutely horrible, always cutting hours around the holidays. Been with the company for 3 years and never got a raise yet I bust my rump in every aspect of the business considering our location is an HLE. Will be looking for other employment after the holidays.
