I worked at Hertz full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Commissioned off your sales. You can control how much you make. Work with good people. Company car, and variety of vehicles available. Good for the experience but that's it.

Cons

Upper management only look at you as a number. When you perform well the major parts of your job, they are still not satisfied and instead of praising you for what you did well, they are constantly beating you down about things that needs to be fixed and I mean constantly. They don't make you feel as if your job is secure. You are told to "figure it out" without the resources being available to you. Staffing levels are terrible, but yet they still expect you to function like you are a fully staffed location. They will stick a location any and every where so when customers complain about issues with the location, you are expected to fix it when you was not the one who placed yourself there in the first place.

Advice to Management

Work on keeping the turnover ratio low. Give you employees praise and don't constantly beat them down. Make them feel secure and not always expendable.

I worked at Hertz full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The company is great to rent from only. Has decent range of cars (varies on location). Good time off (PTO) great medical and dental 401k, rental discounts. Is you're a good "seller" your commission will be good Area manager was good, branch manager so so. Just depends on location.

    Cons

Long hours low pay, mandatory overtime. Deal with abuse from Customer, Service Advisors, and adjusters. Most of that due to Branch Manager always promising and not delivering. Always about numbers, got talked to multiple times due to low sales quotas. I was more into providing a better customer service experience. Management would say they don't have problem with my customer service but always always reiterated about the numbers. If your sales numbers are low (especially for Insurance replacement) you'll never take the test to become Assistant Branch Manager/Branch Manager.

    Advice to Management

Lower sales goals, don't push on always trying to push unnecessary insurance.
