I have been working at Hertz full-time (more than a year)

    Pros

Teaches you how to manage people as well as deal with customers. Its a great start to a career as a stepping stone for better position. Only worthwhile for a short period of time.

    Cons

No work-life balance at all. I am currently employed by the company and we have lost 3 co-workers over a few months ago. The company has failed to hire people since this change. Its really not worth your time to work here if you're looking for a job that gives you freedom to do anything personal. Current work weeks are around 55-60 hours a week, instead of the 45 people are told while being interviewed.
Most upper management as well will set extremely high sales quotas that very minimal people will meet (usually between 5-10 people per region a month). These quotas need to be dropped in order to have employee productivity. Upper management is familiar with the quotas (having started at the bottom) but still fails to realize how high they are. As I stated above, lower the quotas to make the rental experience a lot easier on the customer instead of trying to compete with competitors.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Staff branches properly instead of cutting bodies to save costs. It will make for happier workers.
