I worked at Hertz full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

good people, good process, always looking toward the future. CEO is energetic and charismatic with good financial and investment skills.

    Cons

low salary, overworked and underpaid, does not treat long term employees fairly, changing their minds every 5 minutes with no long term strategy. The systems are old and india is a bad return on investement for the IT that was outsourced. Too many chiefs and not enough indians.

    Advice to Management

treat your talent better and stop promoting people who don't deserve it just because they are yes men. Slow down and measure whether your improvements are returning results before making further changes to the organization. Moving the corporate offices to FL and changing the entire DNA of an organization that has been highly successful for many years is is very risky business. New blood is good, but there has to be a balance of long term intelligence to continue improvements and successful business endeavors.
