I have been working at Hertz full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Good position to learn about sales and management. Flexible hours and great vacation reward.

Cons

Compensations did not match up with the amount of work and stress that you have to go through everyday. Some area managers and general manager do not recognize your hard work.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Go back to school, take a class in business and learn how to treat your employee.

    Pros

    It is very fast pace. You can get promote very fast.

    Cons

    Alot of pressure from management, constantly have to give customers maybe answer, there is no job security.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Change the culture of the company, its not a sustainable one.

    Local MGT is Great! Corporate Level MGT is a joke at times.

    Pros

    Great team atmosphere. Lots of days off. Can move up quick.

    Cons

    The corporate people find ways to take money away from employees. Is going to end up hurting this company soon. Takes forever to get things done. Base salary stinks. They give you bonuses and then you are set up for a good bonus then they decide to change the bonus structure to make sure they don't pay you.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Corporate level mgt pay the people who make you the money more. Stick with bonus structure. Find better ways to save money. They ways you are going about it right now stink and are not effective nor efficient.
