    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Flexibility, great experiences, encouragement to take on new jobs, used to have great career opportunities

    Cons

Management has lost their way and tried to be all things to all people. They really killed the goose that laid the golden egg by not valuing employees other than lip service. Basically any career movement within the company is gone.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Do the hard thing and do what's RIGHT, not just what Wall Street wants or what will make Meg and the execs rich.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Education is available when you need it through the online system. Some sections are a little behind but most up to date. More progressive with letting people work from home.

    Cons

Job uncertainty. Wake up every day feeling like it's your last. Added stress that is not needed. Already cut to the bone on employees in areas - causing overwork and no compensation for it. Leaders try to change direction of this massive ship every 9 to 12 months. It's a wonder the rudder hasn't broken off yet.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a place / market for enterprise services and run with it.
