Former Employee – worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time for more than 3 years
Pros – Big name company identity. Grandparents know who I work for.
Cons – lack of clear vision. cogs in wheels. pride themselves in paying 75% of competitive salaries. IT and cost cutting rules, to the detriment of logic, efficiency, and positive forward momentum. Poor work/life balance if you are someone who wants to move fast. You have to pull a LOT of dead weight around.
Advice to Senior Management – Focus on real innovation. Cut the crap and bureaucratic overhead. Aggressively remove dead weight (mostly management).
No, I would not recommend this company to a friend – I'm not optimistic about the outlook for this company
