Pros

Nice Facility, Good supervisors. The location was fairly convenient, and they did a good job clearing the snow in the winter.

Cons

Their track record of promoting from within wasn't very good,, and it took 20 months to get a review that included a salary adjustment.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Good luck to you, thank you for the opportunity.

I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

HP has some really good people with strong skill sets. The company has some good software assets which can be sold and delivered to customers. Lower level employees want to succeed and do well for customers and their immediate managers. Sales and project opportunities are available and won due to the company name recognition.

    Cons

The red tape can be over whelming at times. Some managers need to allow their people to develop into roles and increased levels of responsibilities. Too much time is spent justifying your job versus getting the job done.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Put more focus on managing southbound (downstream) in the organization chart and not northbound (upstream) to play the politics.
