Pros

Not much other than like most people, thankful to have a job.

Cons

Very low morale and the company does not seem to care. Feels like just a matter of time until your laid off or your job is sent overseas. They do not fill vacant positions so you end up doing your job and another persons. No raises, no bonus' etc.. Sorry for the bleak picture, but it is just the truth.

Advice to Management

Senior management, quit worrying about the stock prices and your big fat bonus' (How much $$ do you really need!). Show a little loyalty to the country where the company was founded and the American employee instead of getting the cheapest labor you can find !

    Pros

Focus on product investment is creating opportunities. Enterprise services (formerly EDS) has benefitted from being able to cross-sell to current HP clients.

    Cons

Poor management at all levels. Lack of career coaching and development. A very impersonal and unsupportive HR team. A very left-coast mentality/culture which is out of step with the overwhelming majority of employees at HP (the majority are remote for the company headquarters).

    Advice to Management

Take a hard look at the front-line and mid-level managers in ES. With the upper leadership churn over the last several years, there are a large number of very poor leaders that are hiding and not being weeded out.
