Pros

free environment work place. you can work from home two days each week

Cons

without good benefits, even need to pay insurance by yourself, company doesn't cover. If you are just a college graduate, this place is not a good place to gain more growth. Even a team lead who is working at this place for over 10 years, he is not easily to change the position to management.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

IF you are working on a contract:

Everything will depend on the quality of your manager. You will find some very good ones, and some not so good.

    Cons

Your manager will not get a big amount of support from the "Mothership". Expect to work at getting what is available and promised. This can be a big time sink, so monitor and start action when there is a problem.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be consistent in quality and reputation. Show interest in employees, not the next quarterly bottom line.

I worked at Hewlett-Packard as an intern (less than an year)

    Pros

The position composed of 12-hour shifts for 3 days a week (M-W or Th-Sa), and alternate Sundays. Atmosphere was very laid back, and fairly safe.

    Cons

No holidays aside from Thanksgiving and Christmas. Non-paid vacation days.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Please get line managers LEAN or Six-Sigma training so they can better implement workers in the line.
