Pros

HP is one of the largest companies in the world creating great IT products, focused on simplicity that masks complexity, speed, and agility, driven by cloud, mobility and big data. It has the potential to drop all barriers to entry in all businesses.

Cons

Some troubles with the Autonomy acquisition, bureaucracy, the PC business but we strong believe that under Meg Whitman will go better.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try to bust some bureaucracy.

    Pros

    HP have structured annual reviews / pay reviews and a clear career progression process. I was absorbed from the EDS takeover and have not had any issues with the integration

    Cons

    There has been a lot of issues with write downs from the purchase of EDS and Autonomy that are masking the good products and services HP deliver. HP also needs to balance the need for quarterly results and the needs of the business better. Too many knee jerk lay offs to fix the quarterly financials with scant regard to how that could damage the companies ability to compete in the long term

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Get the message right ASAP and steady the ship. Let's have a clear 5 year plan that is focused on product and service innovation and less on staff layoffs
