    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Big and Well Respected Company; Good Benefits; Good Pay; Good People; Broad Set of Services and Products; Local and Global Reach.

    Cons

Services business is bogged down in bureaucracy with day to day decisions being made by senior leadership. Managers have responsibility without authority to make own decisions (see noted bureaucracy). Constant workforce reductions in USA (best-shore drive) makes USA staff stagnant (stay in current job) vs. risk changing jobs and growing (keep heads low).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Since HP stock is a ‘ 10 year low’ make decisions focused on HP 10 years from now vs. next quarter. Evidently the quarter-to-quarter focus, taken for the last few years, has not worked.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
