Close to my house gives me a short commute. The pay is decent and I hope to be employed until the economy turns around.

Cons

The CEO seems to know only a single dial to turn .... cut staff. Morale is lower than anywhere I have worked. There is no trust in management. Our management focus is quarter to quarter. There are no strategies for growth or being ready for an economic turn around.

Advice to Senior Management

You need to establish trust and respect with your employees. Your employees look to you for leadership, all we see is an axe and feel that we are a liability. You need to stop the morale death spiral ASAP. By restoring the 5% pay cut out of our profits, yes I mean the money we are MAKING, you may start some healing. Put an immediate moratorium on lay offs. Start leading HP to an economic recovery, not managing us through Wall Street.
