  1. Good place to learn but a lot of work.

    I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time

    Pros

There are a lot of smart people that work at Hp and they are all pretty nice. If you're in technical support then you will always run into new problems that you have to learn how to fix. It's a good position to gain experience if your just starting out.

    Cons

There is a lot to do and there will be days when you're always busy (however I've heard that my department is the busiest so it may not be the case). They should also pay us more for the work that we are doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Hire more people.

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Large company with many resources. Great Co-Workers. Adequate Product Training, but could be improved.

    Cons

Way below Market Compensation, especially for a company based in California. This is a terrible situation which needs to be immediately addressed to retain and attract quality employees. A complete joke for a company of this size who is a perceived industry leader and captain of innovation. Upper Management instability with a complete lack of Vision and Common Sense. The HP Board needs to be replaced along with all upper Management.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look back and see what HP was all about when the company was started and make any attempt to implement the "real" HP Way and it's principles created by founders Bill and Dave.
