I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

    Reasonably good benefits and salary.

    Cons

Don't expect long term employment, regardless of your performance; managers are divided into "people care" and "work effort." People care managers deliver salary, reviews, layoffs; but know little about the employee. Company seems to value "no nonsense, bully-ish managers." Don't expect real people care.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop the bullying...in the long run, it will not be good for the company.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Participating in the challenges of a turn-around - that seems to be gaining traction (2/2013). From the inside, it appears that concerns about the ability of senior management to grasp and deal with basic organic problems have been met.

    Cons

Some of the challenges of the turn-around include dealing with changes in management direction and changes in staffing.
