Pros

Flexible hours and ability to work from home.

Cons

Management is so focused upon outsourcing to India, that they cannot understand how poor of a job the outsourced India techs actually do. There is a reason why the people located in the US cost more. It is because they do better quality work!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of some of the excessive layers of management that are costing HP way too much money and stop the excessive focus upon everything India.

Work from home and benefits were good in the beginning.

    Cons

Like working for the government. Lots of roadblocks to getting the job done. Benefits all went away when the recession hit.

    Pros

Colleagues are great, benefits are good.

    Cons

No raises for seven years running. Bonuses dwindling down to 2% if you are lucky enough to get one. Constant reorging and threat of lay off a constant for the last 10 years. Budget cuts and layoffs mean more work to spread around over an already overloaded and demoralized workforce.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Start caring about your employees.
