Hewlett-Packard – “Waiting for the axe to fall”

Pros

lots of VERY talented/intelligent individuals, flexible work schedule, ability to work from home.

Cons

Constant threat of layoffs. Absolutely NO focus on customers. Desperate mgmt., No career development (but lots of lip service to it), Encouraged to work from home, but will not subsidize phones or internet connections. Pay cuts. Reductions in benefits. No raises. No bonus. No stock options. Yet upper mgmt get's millions in bonuses.

Advice to Senior Management

Stop treating employees like we're stupid. You hired us, and told us we are the best and brightest, yet you think we can't see through the smoke and mirrors.
