    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Talented, caring people. Flexible work environment.

    Cons

Management does not care about employees. The HP way is no longer there. Too many unnecessary re-organizations. Teams are split up or individuals moved from one team to another. No sense of belonging. Favoritism. Politics.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Re-train managers to value and recognize good employees. Offer better benefits, including money to spend on specialized training that employees want to take. Stop re-organizing just because. Be more innovative, reward talent, and work on retaining good employees.
