I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time (more than an year)

Pros

Reasonable load, good benefits, treats employees well, and has many of the benefits of a large company.

Cons

Can have some busy work, harder to advance managerially and technically past a certain point, and has a lot of the problems of a large company. Plus, it is difficult to get meaningful raises.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Find a vision and stick to it as if you were Dave Hewlett and Bill Packard. The board and rotating CEO's reek of the current incestuousness of big company boards giving money to their own friends. They don't seem to actually care. Megan Whitman seems different for now but we'll see.
