very good products to work and learn.

should encourage and provide time for innovation. the pay can be much more competitive

    I worked at Hewlett-Packard full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

    best work culture
    flexibility as long as you deliver the work
    u can quickly escalate if u act smart and exhibit ur talents near the team leader and manager at the right moments

    Cons

    Not much of a chance to grow if you are hired from a normal engineering college
    Very much boring projects
    If u are from Computer Science, u will be crying out loud with the type of work assigned to u. All u need to know is how to type.

    Please assess the employee's ability before assigning him/her to a project

    Pros

    great people
    awesome technologies from Labs
    huge career potential
    online communities are good
    fantastic support of women
    good values
    good work/life balance is possible

    Cons

    management is misdirected
    so many opportunities missed with acquisitions
    too many acquisitioned companies means it is full of middle managers with no clue and now has to cull the fat. you can guess who is safe from reductions though..
    all these great technology innovations from Labs never getting to market
    management cries out for 'innovation' but will not sponsor it - any time i made suggestions i was always told 'no we can't do that'
    poor pay grades , no raises, no out call allowance if you are on an after-hours support roll

    look at the big picture, your people are appreciating resources, why get rid of the few loyal ones you have left?
