    I have been working at Hewlett-Packard full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Benefits, occasional good people to meet, great exposure to anything you want to learn ( software, marketing, services, sales), structure, process for planning, and implementation. I mention these basics because many times you will find this lacking in other like companies. Work life balance is getting redefined so that everyone comes into office, everyday so some of that good if you live near site.

    Cons

    Consistent good people hard to find, not sure about good work life balance, they are reducing workforce on regular basis, ever quarter they come up with a new word for it, the management doing reducing doesn't have a clue what people are doing what. Focal point reviews are like Facebook reviews , anonymous and critical and are not great for anyone as it forces everyone to think about all the weaknesses the person have...What could he do better? What are areas he should work on? What are you looking for next year from him?.. It is along those lines..when it is a challenge to come out on top. Senior Management doesn't walk the talk except for the fact you hear about summer homes and new teslas they are buying...so I guess they are coming out good with all the reductions they are doing.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Go back to the basics, trust, respect, accountability, and reward for hard work. Go back to profits sharing for all, you might get the good people back who left and keep the good people still here, at all levels. Let people decide how the want to work and where, treat employees like professional adults not like summer interns.
