I have been working at Hewlett-Packard

    Pros

good work life balance and ability to work from home

    Cons

    - 5% salary cut (although they are giving it back)
    - no raises
    - cut benefits
    - management not trustworthy, afraid of senior management
    - senior management dis-attached from the employees
    - lack of career development/advancement (there is a lot of talk about, but that's about it: just talk)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Restore the benefits, give raises to people who deserve them, make it so it is possible to have a career in HP.

I have been working at Hewlett-Packard

    Pros

Hewlett Packard has good people to interact. HP also has a good reputation in the industry and a good history.

    Cons

The management team is very short sighted. There have been draconian cuts in benefits and funding productivity improvements. There is no interest in funding any items that improve your productivity.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

The idea to lavish riches on upper management that cut our benefits and reduce our productivity has produced low morale. Randy Mott gets a 22 million dollar bonus for taking away software and creating massive inefficiencies in people getting their jobs done. Employees would accept some reduction in beenefits if management also did. Please start to consider ideas to improve productivity- even a modust spend here would increase morale and productivity.
