Pros – HP is a good brand and lots of opportunities will appear just because they're HP. Within the company there are lots of r-e-a-l-l-y smart people who are doing good stuff, but...
Cons – Clients think it's a lot more global than it really is. (e.g. Europe is run like it's a separate kingdom with its own rules.) The "EDS-ification" of managed services pre-dates the acquisition, but the standards and practices have not yet caught up with plan. (More like the wild wild west than a disciplined process oriented approach.)
Advice to Senior Management – Figure out whether you want to be in this (Managed services) business or not. Pick your leaders based upon their ability to "get it" (Vision) and the capability to "get it done" (Execution).
